We have 2 new faces to add to the team now with one making immediate appearance and one at the end of the year. Jack is now part of the team and is in his final year of his apprenticeship. he will be coming in 2 days a week to help out as we are waiting for the new apprentice to start at Christmas time. He is now “on loan” to me from a Farrier friend of mine in Gloucestershire. He is going to help us out until next year when he hopefully he qualifies. He will hopefully get the chance to meet you all in the near future!
We have also found or new candidate for the next apprentice as well. Rhys has spent some time with us on work experience and has recently completed the Farrier Access course at Warwickshire College. coming out with a distinction grade and also awarded the prize for the best forge worker of the year. He is a very polite and keen young lad and will I’m sure work hard and make the cut. He will be starting with us at the end of this year as unfortunately (as been reported in the equestrian press) the apprenticeship scheme has been temporarily suspended at the moment for new apprentices coming on to the scheme. This will hopefully be resolved soon and we can all as an industry move on positively for it!!
