Infection in lateral toe quarter

Case study from last year. It was a young horse that came with underlying infection . It had originally blown out higher up the dorsal wall but had never been cleared up properly and then as a result had under run the sole. Horse was quite lame. It took about 4 shoeings to get the cracks and holes out but horse so much happier straight away and was then sent off to be backed and has recovered fully from this.
